Pacific Ocean Adventures

The Diving

In the ever-changing waters of the Pacific Ocean, excitement is a constant. Diving daily, we eagerly anticipate the adventures and surprises each trip may bring. Conditions can vary greatly from one dive to the next, so we always prepare our divers for potential challenges that often lead to fun and memorable experiences.

The boat launches from the Pescadería in Malpaís, and it is just a scenic 20-minute ride to the sites. Our dive sites are exclusive GPS-marked spots known only to Iguana Divers, and every day we appreciate how special it is that we are the ones who have found and explored these particular specks in the immensity of the ocean.

The volcanic marine ecosystem of Costa Rica's Pacific features sandy and rocky bottoms, attracting a diverse array of species, from the smallest to the most majestic. We are continually fascinated by this biodiversity, contributing to our photographic inventory of marine life in the areas between Cabuya, Santa Teresa, and the Cabo Blanco nature reserve.

We like keeping our dive groups small, taking out no more than six or seven divers alongside two PADI professionals. This allows us to provide personalised attention, supporting greater interactions and flexibility underwater.

The daily dive outings last approximately four hours and include two dives, all the necessary gear, and a simple snack on the boat.
